Doing Life Together
Being involved in church is far more than attendance at a weekend service. It means we are involved in each others’ lives throughout the week, and LifeGroups is one way to do just that. Check out the list of groups below and join one for the next several weeks to connect and build relationships with people who are a similar age, share similar interests and/or live near you.
Or maybe it’s time to take your next step and begin a group of your own. Share with us your idea and we’ll help you get it started!

Basically, it’s a gathering of the generations to bring our fervent prayers before our God. The vision for the Fervent Prayer Group is to see all generations of women from Church of God come together to pray for each other, our community, our church and our world. No prayer experience required.

My hope is to connect with other moms/women in the church and to grow closer in relationship with each other and Jesus. This group is to be a safe place of grace for moms/women to tell their story, encourage, pray, and share in resources that speak life and grow our hearts and trust in His love and promises.
Leader: Kelly Simpkins
When: Tuesdays @ 7:00pm
We are a group of women who are going to take a look at what the Scriptures say about it means for Jesus to be the Alpha and Omega. What do the Scriptures have to say about the “End of the Age”, and what does it have to do with my life today. Beyond study, we hope this will be a place for supportive friendships based on trust and together gain deeper insight, revelation and love for the Word & God Himself. We believe this will result in transformation beyond our own lives but in our families, friends and our circles of influence.
Leader: Pastors Larry & Connie
When: Fridays @ 6pm
We’ll enjoy getting to know one another over a meal, followed by some time spent in study and conversation around the Scriptures. Primarily, we’ll choose teaching resources together from RightNow Media and use these as starting points for our discussions. Lastly, but not least, we believe prayer is a huge part of Christian community and we will be making prayer a priority for each evening.
Leader: Brad & Samantha Funston
When: Sundays @ 6:00pm
Location: COG Campus
We know parenting our children is rewarding, but it doesn’t come without its challenges and sometimes we can feel alone in those times. Do you have a desire to be intentional in raising your kids but not always sure how or where to turn when it gets tough? We hope you will join us as we look to one another for comfort, encouragement, prayer and partnership in this joyous journey of raising future adults who love Jesus and people.
Leader: Nick & Corrie Hordyk

Using Apologetics curriculum from Ravi Zacharias, we hope to become more adept at recognizing the many worldviews influencing our culture and equip ourselves to challenge the assumptions of these worldviews based on the Truth from God’s Word.
Leader: Stacey Simms
When: Thursdays 7:30-9:00pm (6 weeks)
When people face illness, life can get hard and fast. I’ve had to deal with Chronic illness for half of my life and I’m at a place where I’ve had to choose joy each day and say not today Satan…we can easily let the illness define us… but we have the choice to not let it as our identity is not the illness but in Christ Jesus. With a focus on Bible Study and prayer, we’ll support and encourage each other to shift our mindsets as we become a safe place for each other to share.
Leader: Curtis & Junie Dumont
When: Tuesday @ 6:30 (every 21 days)
Location: West Central
We invite you to join us as we memorize the book of Romans together. It’s not so much about memorizing but we are simply using it as an activity to really get to know God’s Word and for it to change and challenge our way of thinking. The idea is to work at one chapter for 21 days and gather to discuss what we’re learning at the end of those 21 days. This is an existing group that started in the summer but we have people at various places in the book and you are MORE THAN WELCOME to join in.
Leader: Pedro Marcony
When: Tuesday’s 7-8:30pm
For six weeks starting February 19th, Pedro will be leading a course for people interested in learning the basics of Spanish. You’ll cover lessons from learning the alphabet to basic expressions/phrases that might be used in every day settings.
Leader: Could Be You
You can start a group of your own. Share with us your idea for a LifeGroup and we’ll help you get it started for the next semester which begins in May 2018.
