Plan A Visit
If you’re thinking about coming to church, we hope you’ll take the plunge and pay us a visit because we believe this one hour just may change your life.
At any time in your visit, please feel free to speak with one of our church hosts (or team members) who are located in the foyers. For your first visit to COG-MJ, we have a special Welcome to Church gift for you at Guest Services.
What To Expect
What will happen on my first visit?
DOWNTOWN: When you first enter the church building, you’ll be greeted by one of our team members. Feel free to grab a coffee on your left before you drop your kids off downstairs or after as you head upstairs towards the auditorium.
COG-CAMPUS (SOUTH HILL): We meet in what was the International Bible College administration building. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by one of our team members. If you are coming with your children (up to grade 7) you can sign them in (on your left) and leave them with our kids ministry team.
The chapel and washrooms are down the hall on your right as you come in. After the service is finished, we have refreshments available in the cafeteria but ask that parents pick up their kids as there is no program for them during this time.
DOWNTOWN: Next, you can go downstairs and sign in your kids for their program at the Children’s Ministry Desk. A volunteer will be there to help you. You can drop off your babies and children grades 7 & under before the service starts in the 9am service. For the 10:30am service children grades 3 & under can be dropped off before service and children grades 4-7 will join you upstairs in the main auditorium for the first portion of the service and will be dismissed for their class prior to the message (class located in the house next door to the church).
On your way to the main auditorium, stop and grab a coffee if you haven’t already.
On the upper level, our ushers will provide you with a handout/bulletin. Inside the handout, there is a Connection Card. Please take a moment to fill in the card and bring it to a church host at Guest Services (desk in the upper foyer) and we’ll give you a small gift as our Thank You for joining us. Our services are approximately one hour long and include a time of worship and message from Pastor Larry.
COG-CAMPUS: As you come around the hall towards the chapel, there will be a table with bulletins/handouts for you to take. Inside the handout, there is a Connection Card. We invite you to take a moment to fill in the card and bring it to a church host at Guest Services located at the tables just outside the chapel and our host will provide you with a small gift as our Thank You for joining us. Our services are approximately one hour long and include a time of worship and message from Pastor Larry.
We do communion at every Saturday Night Service. We invite you to participate any time after the message during the worship (about 3 songs). As we do so, we remember our Lord Jesus and how He gave His life for us that our sins might be forgiven and our relationship to our Heavenly Father restored. (You do not have to be a member of COG-MJ to participate in communion)
